Sandra Maletin swept the weekend at No. 1 singles, beginning on Friday with a comeback (4-6, 6-4, 10-2) three-set win against Tamara Malazonia of UIC. Earlier in the week, Malazonia earned 3-set win at No. 1 singles against Dayton. Maletin followed up on the win with a dominating (6-1, 6-2) victory over Isabelle Popma of Eastern Michigan.
Doubles Team of the Week

Alicja Zduniak, Sr., Warsaw, Poland

The duo of Jelena Karla Vujicic and Alicja Zduniak just kept on rolling for the Redbirds in a pair of wins last week. Playing at the No. 3 doubles spot in both matches, Vujicic and Zduniak only dropped three games in quick 6-1 and 6-2 wins to help the Redbirds earn the doubles point in each match. With two more wins, Vujicic and Zduniak remain undefeated as a team on the season at 8-0 overall.
