Five Tennis Programs Earn ITA Academic Honors

GILBERT, Ariz. – Five Missouri Valley Conference tennis programs were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its success in the classroom during the 2024-25 school year on Monday.
 
Bradley, UIC, Illinois State, UNI and Valparaiso were each recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team. The five programs maintained a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), with all of its student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners factored into the cumulative team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Collectively, 23 student-athletes from the five programs listed above earned the distinction as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for boasting a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2024-25 school year. Illinois State led the way with seven individuals earning the recognition, followed by six from Bradley, four from Valparaiso and three apiece at UIC and UNI.
