MVC Tennis Weekly Honors (Mar. 18)

ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Conference announced the women’s tennis weekly honors on Wednesday. Maja Dodik of Drake was named Singles Player of the Week, Anna Belogliadova and Compassion Tsai of Bradley were named Doubles Team of the Week.

Singles Player of the Week

Maja Dodik, GS., (Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Drake

Drake’s top women’s tennis player Maja Dodik had another stellar showing as the Bulldogs took down South Dakota in a non-conference battle. Dodik, playing in the No. 1 position, defeated Selena Bird by a 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 score.

 

Doubles Team of the Week

Anna Belogliadova, Sr., (St. Petersburg, Russia) | Compassion Tsai, Jr., (Orlando, Florida) - Bradley

Anna Belogliadova and Compassion Tsai moved to 4-0 in doubles matches during the dual season, defeating Elizabeth Choate and Emma McLeod of Saint Louis, 6-3, on court two. The win is the pair's first on court two this season. The duo is now tied for the most wins by a pair on the team this season, with five. Individually, Belogliadova now has 10 doubles wins this season, while Tsai has eight.
