MVC Tennis Weekly Honors (Mar. 31)
ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Conference announced the women’s tennis weekly honors on Tuesday. Edit Cosmo of UIC was named Singles Player of the Week, Valeriia Ivanovskaia and Ann Hsieh of Bradley were named Doubles Team of the Week.

Singles Player of the Week
Edit Cosmo, Soph., (Malmo, Sweden) - UIC
 

Edit Cosmo of UIC women’s tennis has been named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Singles Player of the Week following an undefeated 3-0 week. Cosmo won in two sets against all three opponents, the final two against Bradley and Illinois State to help propel the Flames to a 2-0 start in MVC play. This is the second conference accolade the Flames have claimed this year with Dongke Liu winning Singles Player of the Week for the week of March 1st.

Doubles Team of the Week
Valeriia Ivanovskaia, Sr., (Yekaterinburg, Russia) | Ann Hsieh, Fresh., - Bradley
 

Valeriia Ivanovskaia and Ann Hsieh picked up a pair of wins to open MVC play this past weekend. The duo defeated UIC's Edit Cosmo and Anaïs Brion, 6-4, on Saturday and Valparaiso's Lacey Tanner and Alexandra Popa, 6-4, on Sunday. Both victories came on doubles court #1, and Saturday's victory allowed Bradley to secure the doubles point. Ivanovskaia and Hsieh are now 4-1 as a pair during the dual season.
