The MVC's automatic qualifier for the ITA Masters has been awarded to Valeria Chaikovskaia (singles) and Varvara Alexeyeva/Barbora Hermanova (doubles) of Murray State, who will represent the Missouri Valley Conference at the ITA Conference Masters set to take place November 6-9 in San Diego CA.
Chaikovskaia enters the 2025-26 season with a career singles record of 46-26, which included a 28-11 singles mark in 2024-25. She was a 2025 All-MVC First Team Selection at #1 Doubles and a 2025 All-MVC Second Team Selection at #1 Singles. Chaikovskaia registered a 6-2 fall record, highlighted by finishing the APSU Invitational undefeated and winning Flight 1 of the Redbird Invitational.
Meanwhile, Alexeyeva enters 2025-26 with a career mark 32-11 in doubles. In 2024-2025, she had a 26-8 doubles record. She was a 2025 All-MVC First Team Selection at Doubles #3 and the 2025 MVC Tennis Elite 18 Award Recipient. Hermanova enters her sophomore season at MSU in 2025-26 with an 8-8 career doubles mark. She was the 2024 MVC Fall Individual Championships Doubles Flight #2 Runner-up with Bruna Melato, and she paired with Alexeyeva to record a doubles win over #15 Vanderbilt last year. The pairing of Alexeyeva and Harmanova have compiled a 4-2 doubles record so far this fall, including winning Flight 1 of the Redbird Invitational.
The ITA Conference Masters Championship will have a draw size of 32 singles players and 32 doubles teams. From this, four players (4) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists). Meanwhile, three doubles teams (3) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Conference Masters (champion, finalist, third place). Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference may designate one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate in the event.
The MVC representatives were selected via a nomination and balloting process where the head coaches could not vote for their own athletes.
