MVC Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors (Jan. 7)

ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its men's swimming & diving weekly honors on Wednesday.

MEN'S SWIMMER: Sammy Quigg | Senior | Merritt Island, Fla. | Edgewood Junior/Senior High
Sammy Quigg and the Minutemen defeated Bryant, 205-91, on Monday, as Quigg earned two individual gold medals on the afternoon. Quigg swam a time of 1:40.88 in the 200 freestyle to place first, before sitting atop the podium in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.27. Quigg anchored the 200 medley relay team to a first-place finish with a time of 1:32.71. He also anchored the 400 freestyle relay team, as the team combined for a time of 3:05.11 to claim the gold. 

MEN'S DIVER: Alex Kreidler | Junior | South Windsor, Conn.
Alex Kreidler earned two gold medals as the Minutemen won, 205-91, against Bryant on Monday. The junior sat atop the podium in the one-meter dive with a score of 358.50, which marked the third-best record in program history. He also placed first in the three-meter with a total of 367.73. 

MEN'S FRESHMAN: Hudson Bawduniak | Freshman | Waco, Texas | Bosqueville
As the Minutemen won, 205-91, against Bryant, Hudson Bawduniak earned two gold medals in individual events. In the 100 breaststroke, Bawduniak swam a personal-best time of 55.52, marking the eighth all-time mark in program history. He also tied for first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 49.67. The freshman placed fourth in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:57.32.
