This week's Missouri Valley Conference golfers of the week include Caroline McConnell of Bradley and TJ Barger of Illinois State.

Women's Golf
Caroline McConnell, Bradley
McConnell began her second season at Bradley on a strong note. The senior from South Fayette, Pa., placed tied for third at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan, in Kewadin, Mich. She recorded a one-under-par 215 for the tournament, shooting an even-par 72 in each of the first two rounds and a one-under-par 71 in the third and final round. Her final round was one of five rounds of 71 shot by the Braves during the tournament and one of four on the final day. Bradley finished second as a team with a score of 881 (292-301-288), the team's lowest score since 2023.
Men's Golf
TJ Barger, Illinois State
Illinois State's men's golf team competed at the Island Resort Intercollegiate and finished in eighth place overall with a three-round tournament score of 845, tied for the ninth-best tournament score in program history. ISU's final-round score of 276 is tied for the sixth-best single-round in the history of the program, as all four of ISU's scoring players were at least two shots under par through the 18 holes. Leading the way for the Redbirds was TJ Barger, who started his day by holing out for eagle on the par-four 10th hole, and never looked back for his final-round 68. His tournament score of 205 is the 11th-best single-round score in program history, and a new collegiate low for the Bloomington native.
