Three MVC men's teams (Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Valparaiso) competed at the 2025 Badger Invitational, hosted at the par-72, 7272-yard TPC Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. SIU's Anthony De Schutter became the second golfer in Southern Illinois history to win back-to-back tournaments after shooting 205 (-11). Using a final-round-best score of 279, Illinois State climbed two spots to tie with SIU. The ISU team score of 13-under 851 is the 17th-lowest team tournament score in program history. TJ Barger was ISU's top individual finisher as he tied for fifth with a 208. Valparaiso also represented the MVC at the event, finishing 14th.

His 64 is tied for Belmont's third-lowest 18-hole score in its Division I era. Belmont finished third as a team. Drake's Jake Weissenburger and UNI's Calen Bishop also notched top-10 individual showings this week as they tied for 10th on the leaderboard at the Zach Johnson Invitational in West Des Moines, Iowa.
