ST. LOUIS - The 2025 MVC All-Conference tennis team is comprised of a First and Second Team from each of the six singles’ positions and one doubles team from each of the three positions, as voted by the league coaches.
The 2025 All-Conference First Team is comprised of individuals from Bradley, UIC, Illinois State, and Murray State. The Racers claimed two singles spots on the all-conference team as well two doubles pairings. Illinois State earned a singles spot along with a doubles spot. Bradley also grabbed a pair of singles awards, while UIC claimed the No. 1 Singles. The All-MVC Second Team has a student-athlete each from UIC, Illinois State, Murray State, UNI, and Valparaiso.
UIC's Mayu Ushio earned MVC Player of the Year honors. Ushio claimed the No. 1 singles title and No. 1 doubles title in the MVC Individual Championship in the fall. Ushio's is currently 12-2 overall and 6-0 in MVC singles play.
Edit Cosmo of UIC earned Freshman of the Year honors after a dominant season, posting a 6-2 record in league play, a 13-6 in singles play overall, and 11-7 in doubles play.
Murray State’s Yuna Kadowaki earned Newcomer of the Year honors. She went 5-1 in the No. 3 Singles spot in league play.
Murray State’s Jorge Caetano earned the 2025 MVC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year honor. This marks Caetano’s second MVC Coach of the Year honor after leading the Racers to back-to-back undefeated seasons and regular season champions. Caetano led the Racers to a perfect 8-0 record in league play, while finishing 15-6 overall.

Coach of the Year: Jorge Caetano, Murray State
