This week's Missouri Valley Conference golfers of the week are Murray State's Elin Tynan and Southern Illinois' Jaeseung Na.
Murray State women's golf finished tied for fifth at the SoCal Spring Invite as three different Racers finished inside the top 30 at the event in Camarillo, California. Sophomore Elin Tynan finished as the leader for the Racers, shooting a two under 69 in today's final round to finish at eight over for the tournament and in 16th place. Tynan finished the week with the best score of her collegiate career.
The Saluki men's golf team finished 16th at the Louisiana Classic at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La., on Tuesday. The team shot four-over par for the tournament. Jaeseung Na had the best performance for the Salukis, finishing third overall. He shot a 67 (-5) in the first round and followed it with rounds of 70 (-2) in each of the final two rounds. The event marked the lowest team finish of the season for the Dawgs. Na shot a three-round 67-70-70 (207). Texas A&M – ranked 29th in the latest clippd National Ranking – won the event by seven strokes with an 840, with #48 Little Rock (847) in second. Illinois State was also at the event and was led by TJ Barger, who carded his third under-par round of the three-round event, as he tied for eighth for his sixth top 10 finish in eight events in the 2025-26 season. His final-round 71 gave him a three-round score of 210.
