This week's Missouri Valley Conference swimmer of the week is Jaelle Carlson of Little Rock.

Carlson continues to have an impressive freshman season for the Trojans, collecting individual wins in the 100 freestyle (52.27) and 100 butterfly (57.84) at Little Rock's home meet against North Texas. She has not been beaten in the 100 freestyle at a dual meet yet, and ranks fifth in the conference in the race so far this season. 
 
The freshman also helped the Trojans sweep both relays at the meet. Carlson anchored both relays, throwing down a split of 23.79 in the 200 freestyle relay, the only swimmer under 24 seconds in the entire race. Earlier, she also split a time of 23.42 as the final leg of the 200 medley relay, which was the fastest 50 free split of the entire day (relays and individual events combined).
