MVC Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors (Nov. 19)

ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its swimming & diving weekly honors on Wednesday.

MEN'S SWIMMER: Carter Ruthven, Junior, Southern Illinois - Fort Collins, Colo.
Carter Ruthven, a transfer from Kentucky, also had a stellar performance across the Invite. He took home gold in the 100- and 200-butterfly while also helping lead the 800-freestyle relay, 200-freestyle relay, and 400-medley relay teams to victory. The transfer also put in personal bests in the 50-freestyle and 100-butterfly. 

MEN'S DIVER: Oliver Mebs, Junior, Southern Illinois - Victoria, BC, Canada
Oliver Mebs nabbed first place in the 1- and 3-meter dives while also qualifying for NCAA Zone C in the 1-meter event. He recorded a score of 302.30 in the 1-meter and 313.70 in the 3-meter diving event.

MEN'S FRESHMAN: Maddax Thompson, Southern Illinois - Carbondale, Ill.
Maddax Thompson was crowned the winner of the 100- and 200-breaststroke events. The Carbondale local also set new personal records in those two events as well as the 200-IM.

WOMEN'S SWIMMER: Olivia Herron, Senior, Southern Illinois - Manchester, England
Olivia Herron took home three individual wins in the 100- and 200-breaststroke and the 200-IM while also being a part of the winning 400-medley relay, 200-medley relay, and 800-free relay teams. The England native also set pool records and met NCAA "B" standards in the breaststroke events.

WOMEN'S DIVER: Eden McRoberts, Freshman, Evansville - Lafayette, Ind.
Eden McRoberts had a stellar performance throughout the A3 Invite in Carbondale, Ill. She opened the weekend with a second-place finish in the 1-meter dive. Her score was a lifetime best at 219.1 in Thursday's opening day of the meet. In the 3-meter, McRoberts posted a score of 191.00 to earn a finish of fifth place.

WOMEN'S FRESHMAN: Livia Munkacsi-Nagy, Southern Illinois - Budapest, Hungary
Livia Munkacsi-Nagy won three individual events: the 500-freestyle, 400-IM, and 1650-freestyle. She was also a member of the winning 800-free relay team and established three personal bests in her three individual events.
