ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its 2026 Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete Team on Thursday.Â
This year's men's swimming & diving honoree is Valparaiso's Anthony Martin. The senior holds a 3.97 cumulative grade-point average as a mechanical engineering major. On the women's side, UIC's Molly Kroeger takes home this year's honor. Kroeger holds a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA as a biomedical engineering major.
The criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team voting parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America nominations. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, where applicable. If a GPA has not been established as a transfer student, the cumulative GPA from the nominees’ previous institution must be used. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing. Redshirt freshmen are not eligible. Eligible nominees must compete in at least four competitions OR finish in the top-eight individually at the Conference championship, or be a member of a top-three relay team at the event.
