Dixon played a key role in SIU’s record-setting run, scoring twice in the Salukis’ 2-1 win at Evansville on Saturday. Dixon found the net in the 24th and 26th minutes, putting SIU ahead 2-0 before halftime. The performance helped the Salukis secure their sixth consecutive victory and extend their school record winning streak.

Valenti’s stout defense in goal helped the Redbirds start out MVC play 1-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 season. Valenti made five saves against the Racers, including a stop on a shot late in the match, to clinch the Redbirds' fourth shutout this season. Valenti now has 196 career saves and 21 career shutouts, inching closer to fourth and third in program history, respectively, in those categories.

• Missouri Valley Conference women's soccer teams combined for a 30-34-18 mark against non-conference teams this season.  The NCAA released its initial RPI report for women's soccer on Monday, Sept. 21, and the Missouri Valley Conference ranks No. 24 in the league rankings. Southern Illinois is the top-rated MVC women's program at No. 129.  
• Behind five different goal scorers and three assists from defender Lillie Tabor, Belmont University women's soccer defeated UIC, 5-2, Sunday afternoon from E.S. Rose Park to open Missouri Valley Conference play. The five-goal outing represents Belmont's biggest scoring day in the conference match since defeating Jacksonville State, 5-1, Oct. 11, 2013.
• Southern Illinois defeated Evansville, 2-1, in its MVC opener. The win improved the Salukis to 7-2-0 overall and 1-0 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The win marked Southern's sixth consecutive victory, extending the school record.
• In just her third game back from a season-ending injury last year, Ella Rentz scored her first career goal on Sunday. After a scoreless first half with the Racers, Rentz broke through in the 74th minute and scored her first career goal off an assist from Erika Wells, placing the game-winning shot into the back left of the net. This helped the Redbirds begin MVC play 1-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 season.
• Drake's Addie Ford earned the shutout victory in Drake's league opening 4-0 win over Valpo…Tallied three saves in the match stopping every threat from the Beacons…Earned her second solo shutout of the season.
• Murray State's Griselda Revolorio passed Jenna Villacres for third all time at Murray State in career minutes and now has 4,963. She ranks fourth in program history with 239 career saves, 25 behind Annie Fortier for third.
• Indiana State's Sofie Hansen delivered a composed and efficient performance in Indiana State’s 2–0 win over UNI, recording a clean sheet with two saves across a full 90 minutes. 
• UIC scored a pair of goals in its defeat at Belmont. Graduate student Elyse DeSchryver scored her first goal as a Flame while freshman Tenley McMenamy scored her first career goal during the match. The two goals matched the team's season high for a match.
• In Evansville's 2-1 loss to Southern Illinois, Brooklyn Robinson scored for the Aces. The play marked Robinson's third goal of the season and her first time scoring goals in back to back games since Oct. 11, 2025.
• Valpo's MVC schedule is bookended by the teams picked to finish first and second in the league. The Beacons opened league play by hosting the preseason favorites on Sunday and will round out the regular season on Nov. 5 at Illinois State, the team picked second in the preseason poll.
• UNI had a scoreless first 70 minutes but two goals by Indiana State in the span of eight minutes late in the second half led to a 2-0 ISU victory against the Panthers. The Panthers return to action Sunday, Sept. 27, when they host the Belmont Bruins in MVC action. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at the UNI Soccer Field with live coverage available on ESPN+.
