  • Southern Illinois continues to climb in the NCAA women's soccer RPI ratings as the Salukis are now No. 84 through matches of this past weekend.  Drake (156) and Illinois State (170) join SIU in the Top 175 of the most recent report.  The MVC ranks No. 24 as a league. SIU's .833 win percentage ranks 10th best in the NCAA.
  • UNI's Hailey Luedtke notched six saves with one goal allowed in UNI's 1-1 homecoming draw against Valparaiso, helping put the Panthers into a tie for sixth in the league table. She finished her seventh complete game in goal this season out of 10 appearances. Luedtke's 66 total saves on the year leads the MVC and ranks 32nd in Division I, and her 6.6 saves per game also lead the MVC and ranks 10th in Division I.
  • Hailey Morgan scored Indiana State's lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Drake, helping the Sycamores earn a valuable point against one of the Missouri Valley Conference's top teams. The junior forward converted her only shot of the match
  • and played the full 90 minutes. The score marked Morgan's third goal and eighth point of the season.
  • Indiana State ranks 13th in the NCAA in goal differential (+22), while Drake (22nd, +20), and Southern Illinois (30th, +18).
  • After a nearly three week stretch away from home, the Aces return to Arad McCutchan Stadium on Thursday night at 6 PM to take on the UNI Panthers - Evansville last played at home on Sept. 26. The Aces have four-straight one-goal decisions heading into this weekend, including a 2-1 victory at Belmont on Saturday.
  • Belmont senior Lillie Tabor was been named Trane Student-Athlete of the Month for October at Belmont. Tabor has anchored the Bruins' defense this season.  She played in all 11 matches for the Bruins and leads the team in assists and ranks third in points with four.   In their win over UIC, she had three assists, which is most in a match by a Bruin since 2009.
  • Against UIC in a 1-0 victory, Murray State's Breece Bass scored her third goal of the season, the most by any Racer, and holds the team lead with nine points. She has two game-winners and has taken 33 shots, more than twice as many as any teammate. UIC, meanwhile, looks to get back on the winning track as it hosts two matches this week (Indiana State on Thursday and league-leading Southern Illinois on Sunday). Thursday's contest will mark Pride Night for the Flames.
  • The Redbirds' win over UNI extended their home unbeaten streak to 13 games with a 6-0-7 record dating back to last season. It is the third-longest home unbeaten streak in program history. ISU hosts a pair of MVC contests (Belmont on Oct. 15 and Indiana State on Oct. 18) this weekend.
  • If Valparaiso records a goal in a match, the Beacons are in good shape for a result. They have scored at least one goal in eight of their 13 matches and own a 5-1-2 record in those matches. On the other hand, they've been held scoreless on five occasions, resulting in five of their six defeats.
  • Drake's goals against average leads the MVC and ranks 16th in the NCAA (0.54). Three other league teams (Southern Illinois, 22nd), Illinois State (26th), and Indiana State (44th) rank in the Top 50. Drake's Addie Ford leads the MVC individually and ranks 12th nationally (0.43)
  • K.K. Miller played all 90 minutes in Southern Illinois’ 1-0 victory on Oct. 10, recording one save and earning a shutout. The freshman goalkeeper helped the Salukis secure their ninth consecutive victory, extending the program record,
  • and maintain their unbeaten record in Missouri Valley Conference play.
  • Drake's Angela Gutierrez leads the MVC and is 4th nationally with five game-winning goals this season.
