ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Conference has revealed the women’s tennis weekly honors on Tuesday. Lana Caculovic and Silvia Pomarolli of Illinois State were named Doubles Team of the Week.

Lana Caculovic / Silvia Pomarolli, Illinois State | No. 1 Doubles
Illinois State’s No. 1 doubles tandem, Lana Caculovic and Silvia Pomarolli, opened the dual meet season with a big win against Big Ten Conference Purdue. The top Redbird team earned a 6–3 victory to help Illinois State secure the early doubles point against the Boilermakers. That point proved crucial, as the Redbirds pushed the match to the final singles contest before falling to Purdue on the road.
