ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Valley Conference will host its second annual esports championship LAN on Saturday, April 12
th on the campus of Missouri State University. The event will take place in the Level 1 Game Center in the Plaster Student Union. The event will be free and open to the public and spectators are encouraged to attend.
MVC institutions will compete in the Semifinal Round and Championship Final rounds for the league's four sponsored titles including: Overwatch, Valorant, Rocket League and Super Smash Brothers. Semifinal matches will begin at 10 am Central and the first championship match is slated for 2 pm.

"We are excited to host the second MVC esports championship LAN event," said Missouri Valley Conference Director of Marketing/Corporate Fulfillment Russell Susuki. "We are looking forward to building on the success and momentum during our second in-person esports championship. The Missouri State University staff has been great to work with and I look forward to seeing our student-athletes compete in-person for Conference Championships."
The championship aims to engage the local community and showcase the growth of collegiate esports. Spectators are invited to immerse themselves in the fast-paced action with TVs and projectors providing an optimal viewing experience in the Plaster Student Union.

Through the Alienware Demo Program, Dell and Alienware are providing 24 Gaming Stations for the MVC Esports Championship. They are providing PCs, monitors, keyboards and mice for student-athletes to enhance the gaming experience at the event.

"The first MVC Championship LAN was a great event and we are once again looking forward to a great weekend of championship action.
