Normal, IL - The inaugural 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Esports championship was hosted by Illinois State with the help of the National Esports Collegiate Conferences (NECC) on April 20th. Teams competed in three titles Overwatch 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Rocket League. 

Illinios State (Redbird Esports) claimed the top spot in all three titles.

In Rocket League, the Redbirds began with a 4-0 victory over Bradley in match 5 to advance to the finals against Southern Illinois where they claimed the title at a socre of 4-0. Southern Illinois and Missouri State claimed second and third respectively. Missouri State claimed victory over the consolation bracket against Valparaiso and Bradley. 

In the Overwatch 2 title, the Redbirds defeated Evansville in match 5 of the bracket at a score of 3-0 to advance to face Bradley in the finals. The Redbirds claimed the title with a score of 3-0 over the Braves. Bradley and Valparaiso finished second and third respectively, where Valparaiso claimed victory over the consolation bracket against Missouri State and Evansville. 

In the Super Smash Bros Ultimate title, the Redbirds defeated Southern Illinois 2-0 to face Valparaiso in the finals. Valparaiso and Missouri State claimed second and third respectively, where Missouri State won the consolation bracket against Indiana State and Southern Illinois.
