ST. LOUIS -- For the first time in league history, the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title was shared by three teams, as Evansville, Drake and Northern Illinois each claimed their share of the championship. The Conference championship marks the first regular-season Valley titles for all three programs.
In a head-to-head tiebreaker, the Purple Aces secured the No. 1 seed, going 1-0-1 against the other teams in the pool. The Bulldogs, with an 0-0-2 record against Evansville and NIU, drew the No. 2 seed. Both teams have earned an automatic bye and will host the semifinal matches on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. CT.
Northern Illinois, who went 0-1-1 against Evansville and Drake, is the No. 3 seed and is set to host No. 6-seeded Western Michigan at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, November 9. Belmont secured the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seeded UIC at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday.
The 2025 MVC Men's Soccer Championship kicks off on Sunday, November 9, with the quarterfinal round. All rounds of the tournament will be hosted by the higher seed in each matchup, including the semifinal and championship rounds.
