Regular season champion Indiana State collected half of the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference baseball specialty awards, as Mitch Hannahs repeated as the Dan Callahan Coach of the Year. Grant Magill earned the league's Defensive Player of the Year award for the second-straight season while Brennyn Cutts was named the MVC Pitcher of the Year.

UIC's Kendal Ewell swept the Joe Carter Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors while Evansville pitcher Kenton Deverman garnered the league's Freshman of the Year award.

Ewell became just the third individual since the induction of the Newcomer of the Year award in 1992 to sweep the MVC Joe Carter Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year awards and first to do so since 2022, joining Darick Hall (Dallas Baptist, 2016) and Kaeber Rog (Southern Illinois, 2022) on that list. It marked the second-straight year that the Newcomer of the Year hailed from UIC as Charlie Szykowny won it in 2023.




It's the second-straight year that the Pitcher of the Year has come from Indiana State. Cutts became just the third Sycamore to earn MVC Pitcher of the Year honors, joining Connor Fenlong (2023) and Geremy Guerrero (2021).



Evansville's Kenton Deverman is just the second Purple Ace to earn the MVC Freshman of the Year award, joining Eric Stamets who received the honor in 2010. 



Grant Magill of Indiana State is earning the MVC Defensive Player of the Year laurel for the second-striaght year. Of the 12 honors that have been distributed since the induction of the award in 2012, Indiana State has been on the receiving end four times.



For the second-straight year, Mitch Hannahs has been named the Dan Callahan MVC Coach of the Year. It marks just the sixth time in Valley history a coach has won it in back-to-back years and first time since Missouri State's Keith Guttin did so in 2017-18.
