ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Three Missouri Valley Conference men’s soccer student-athletes were selected in the MLS SuperDraft 2025.
Missouri State’s Jesus Barea was selected 19th overall, while Western Michigan’s Colin Welsh (67th overall) and Bowling Green’s Trace Terry (76th overall) were picked up in the third round.
The trio of draftees marks the 13th-straight year that at least one men’s soccer player from The Valley has been drafted. Barea became the league’s 15th first-round draft pick and fifth draftee in Missouri State program history. Welsh became the Broncos’ ninth player to be selected in the SuperDraft, and the fourth since Western Michigan joined the league. Terry’s selection marks the fifth time since 2016 that a Falcon has been picked up in the SuperDraft.
