Missouri Valley Signs Three-Year Agreement with Tupelo Honey

          ST. LOUIS -- Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced today that the Missouri Valley Conference has signed a three-year agreement with Indianapolis-based Tupelo Honey to continue to serve as the production company for The Valley on ESPN -- the league’s co-branded digital network available via the ESPN app -- through the 2023-24 academic year.

       The Missouri Valley Conference and Tupelo Honey, which began producing MVC events during the 2008-09 academic year, just completed a three-year agreement (2017-18 - 2019-20) and a one-year extension on July 31, 2021.

       Through its digital distribution partnership with ESPN, the Missouri Valley Conference produces and distributes digitally live-event content from its postseason championships in the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, softball and baseball.

       Now in its 115th year of collegiate sports competition, the Missouri Valley Conference is comprised of 10 NCAA Division I institutions -- Bradley University, Drake University, University of Evansville, Illinois State University, Indiana State University, Loyola University Chicago, Missouri State University, University of Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois University and Valparaiso University. 

       Dallas Baptist is an affiliate member for baseball; Arkansas-Little Rock is an affiliate member in women’s swimming and diving; Stony Brook competes as an affiliate member in women’s tennis; and SIU Edwardsville begins its second stint as an affiliate member in men’s soccer in 2021.

       Based in St. Louis, The Valley sponsors 17 sports in all, including men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s golf, women’s tennis, softball and baseball.
