INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bradley University Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr.
Chris Reynolds has been appointed to be a member of the NCAA Awards Committee, beginning Jan. 18, 2026. Dr. Reynolds' four-year term will run through Jan. 19, 2030.
The NCAA Awards Committee selects the recipients of numerous awards, including the Theodore Roosevelt Award, Pat Summitt Award, Gerald R. Ford Award and more. The committee meets in June and September to select award winners and convenes in January, during the NCAA Convention, to present the NCAA Awards. Ten members comprise the committee: three from Division I, one from the Division II Management Council, one from the Division III Management Council, a Senior-level administrator from a member institution or conference, a former NCAA Woman of the Year nominee and three distinguished citizens, one of whom was a former NCAA awards recipient.
Dr. Reynolds is currently completing his 11th year at the helm of Bradley's Department of Athletics, including his eighth as the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. Most recently, Dr. Reynolds was named one of 28 recipients of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Athletics Director of the Year in 2023-24. It was Dr. Reynolds' second NACDA Athletics Director of the Year award of his career, with the first coming in 2020-21.
Dr. Reynolds also wrapped up a five-year term on the Division I Men's Basketball Committee at the end of the 2022-23 season, and he remains the only Missouri Valley Conference Athletic Director to serve as the chair of the Division I Men's Basketball Committee.
