SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State will host the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship at Hammons Field from May 24-28, the MVC Joint Committee recently approved.

Hammons Field will host the event for the fifth time overall and first since 2017. The tournament also took place at the venue in 2012, 2007 and 2004. All games of the 2022 Championship will air live on ESPN+.

All eight of the league's baseball playing members qualify for the tournament, with the fifth through eighth seeds playing in the single elimination round on Tuesday, May 24, and the two winners advancing to the six-team, double-elimination phase which begins Wednesday.
