This week's Missouri Valley Conference swimmer of the week is Laura Carver of Southern Illinois and the diver of the week is Beibei Ji of Southern Illinois.

Swimmer of the Week

Carver helped the Salukis to a team title at the SIU Invitational over the weekend with a pair of individual wins. The senior highlighted Day One of the invite with a record-breaking performance in the 200-yard individual medley. She swam a mark of 2:02.13 to best current teammate Samantha Parson’s record time of 2:02.68 set during the 2015-16 season. A day later, Carver won the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:20.74, just .90 seconds shy of the school record. 

Diver of the Week
Beibei Ji, Sr., Taiyuan, China (Southern Illinois)
Ji recorded a career-best and winning score of 356.55 in the three-meter dive at the SIU Invitational. The senior won the event by over 26 points and was one of only two divers to reach the 300-plateau. Ji placed second out of 13 divers in the one-meter dive with a score of 303.22.
