Drake is hosting the 2013 MVC Cross Country Championship on November 2, 2013 in Des Moines, Iowa at Blank Park Golf Course. Southern Illinois swept the Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship in dominating fashion.  This is the first time that the Saluki women have won since 1992 and the first time the same school has won both genders since 1989.

On the men's side, newcomers Loyola took second-place with 97 points and Illinois State claimed third (102 points).  For the women, Bradley came in second with a total of 63 points and Illinois State finished in third-place (66 points).
