This week's Missouri Valley Conference golfers of the week include Tanner Dinnebier of UNI and Camille Rosier of UIC.
Tanner Dinnebier (Sr., Waukee, Iowa) put together the best round of his career at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational, firing a 203 (-10) over the three-round tournament. Dinnebier won the tournament by one stroke, UNI's first outright tournament champion since 2017, and first tournament champion since 2022. Last season, Dinnebier fired off four total rounds in the 60s. At the Dolenc, he put together three-straight rounds in the 60s (68-67-68), the first time a Panther has had all three rounds of a tournament in the 60s since Jordan Weber at the Agua-Caliente Invite in 2007 (67-67-64). Bradley also was in the field, and the Braves were led by Brody McCarthy. McCarthy earned his first top-10 finish of the season as he tied for sixth with a seven-under-par 206. McCarthy helped the Braves win their first team title since winning the Zach Johnson Invitational on Oct. 1-2, 2018. The team scored 837 (272-278-287), setting a new 54-hole program record by nine strokes. Bradley's first-round score of 272 was also a program record by four strokes.
Four MVC men's programs (Drake, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Valparaiso) competed in the 19-team field in the Badger Invitational held at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis. Drake's Jake Weissenburger led the Bulldog lineup and tied for 16th. Weissenburger finished with a total score of 1-under, 215 coming back from an opening round of 4-over, 76 to finish with rounds of 4-under, 68 and 1-under, 71. Over his three rounds of play, Weissenburger carded 13 birdies, including five in the second round, which was tied for the eighth most in the field.
UIC's Camille Rosier (Jr. | Paris, France) tied for second in the individual standings at the NKU Fall Invitational where the Flames finished third in the team standings out of 11 programs. Rosier finished Tuesday's third round with a 70 (-1) to tie for second in the 63-person field. She shot 72 (+1) and 74 (+2) over the first two rounds. This is Rosier's first top-five finish of the year and her fourth in the last two seasons. Her teammate Alejandra Ereño finish in fifth place, marking her first top-five finish since winning the Windy City Classic in October 2025. Indiana State, Evansville, and Valparaiso also represented the MVC in this event.
Three MVC women's programs (Bradley, Drake, UNI) competed in the Diane Thomason Invitational, hosted by Iowa. Bradley's Peyton Coburn earned her best finish of the season at the event in Davenport, Iowa. The junior from Tulsa, Okla., battled a difficult course at Davenport Country Club to finish tied for 13th with a 12-over-par 225 (73-75-77), earning her first top-20 finish of the season and sixth of her Bradley career. Coburn helped Bradley place sixth out of 13 teams with a team score of 917 (306-302-309).
