MVC coaches have selected Bradley as this year's preseason favorite in women's golf. Bradley received nine of 11 first-place votes and 115 total points to outdistance Murray State (100) and Drake (97) in the poll. Drake and Belmont each received one first-place vote. Belmont finished fourth in the poll with 90 points. Last year's champion Illinois State was fifth in the rankings with 85 points.
The 2026 MVC Women's Championship will be played at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., on Sunday-Monday-Tuesday (April 19-21). UNI is the host institution for this year's event. In 2025, behind an MVC Championship-record team score of 874, the Illinois State women’s golf team won the title – the team’s second straight – by 31 strokes, the fifth-largest margin of victory in MVC Championship history. The team championship was ISU’s 16th in the program history, twice as many as the next closest on the list. The 2025 medalist was Bradley’s Jillian Cosler. Cosler shot a 71-72-72 - for a three-round 215 to win the tournament.
