This week's Missouri Valley Conference golfers of the week include Amber Henson of Drake and Jaeseung Na of Southern Illinois.



The Drake women's golf team competed in its first tournament of the 2026 Spring season, the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate, and tied for third place. The Bulldogs went on to shoot a total score of 26-over, 878 (288-292-298) and tied with Augusta College. UTEP won the team title with a final team score of 11-over, 863. UT Arlington was the runner-up at 17-over, 869. Drake had three student-athletes finish inside the top-15 on the leaderboard and was led by Amber Henson. The senior from Marshalltown, Iowa, recorded a solo fifth place finish in the medalist race after consistent rounds of 71-72-70 for her 213 total.

Southern Illinois men's golf opened its spring season with an impressive performance, finishing in the top three at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate Invitational, held Sunday through Tuesday at the par-72 Palmas del Mar Golf Club. It was the Salukis' third top-three finish this season. They outplayed four Power 4 teams.  Jaesung Na was incredible throughout the invitational, posting a 7-under-par 209 and finishing tied for third overall. It was his second top-three finish this year.
