2025 MVC Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team

Valparaiso's Delisanti is Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Anthony Delisanti of Valparaiso headlines the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team as he has been named the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  Delisanti is joined on the First Team by five additional student-athletes, announced by the league office today.

Delisanti owns a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Sport Management.  He also earned the 2025 MVC Elite 18 Award presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average among top finishers at the MVC Championship.  He has earned All-MVC First Team honors in each of his four collegiate seasons, is a two-time MVC Championship individual medalist, a three-time NCAA Regional qualifier and the 2024 National Golf Invitational (NGI) champion.  Delisanti also earned the Valparaiso University Top of the Class award, presented to graduating senior student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or better. 

In addition to the six first-team selections, seven student-athletes received second-team honors.

To meet the criteria, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.  An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).  A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.  Eligible nominees must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship.
