Newcomer of the Week: Sarah Linthacum, Missouri State
Freshman of the Week: Doneelah Washington, Illinois State

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KATIE DINNEBIER, DRAKE
5-8 | Sr. | Guard | West Des Moines, Iowa

Drake’s Katie Dinnebier did it again for the Bulldogs as she led Drake to an undefeated weekend in Des Moines, extending the Dogs’ winning streak to seven games. The senior guard averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in the Bulldogs’ undefeated homestand. Dinnebier started the weekend with a quiet 16-point, 9-assist, 6-rebound performance in an 86-63 defeat of UIC and followed that with 31 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals in another blowout win of Valparaiso. Her 31 points marked her fifth 30-plus scoring game of the season, and seventh of her career, marking the second-highest total number of 30-plus scoring games achieved by a player in the NCAA Women’s Division I ranks this year. Dinnebier has scored at least 30 points in three of her last four outings. The senior is one of just four MVC players to score 30-plus in five or more games in a single season since 2002-03 and is one of just four
players in NCAA Division I basketball to average at least 20 points and 5.0 assists per game this season.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: SARAH LINTHACUM, MISSOURI STATE
6-3 | Sr. | Forward | Jefferson City, Mo.

In wins against Belmont and Murray State, Missouri State’s Sarah Linthacum averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting .591 (13-22) from the field. She was MoState’s second-leading scorer last week and her field goal percentage paced the Lady Bears.  In Thursday night’s win over Belmont, she notched a game-high 17 points in addition to pulling down eight rebounds, six of which came on the offensive glass. On Saturday afternoon, Linthacum contributed 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals as the Lady Bears defeated Murray State.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: DONEELAH WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS STATE
6-1 | Fr. | Forward | Lincoln, Neb.

Illinois State’s Doneelah Washington posted a pair of double-figure performances as Illinois State secured wins over Indiana State and Evansville last week, including her first-career double-double Thursday and the first and only double-double by a freshman in Valley play this season. It marked just the third overall double-double by a Valley rookie this year, as Washington scored a season-high 15 points with 10 boards and two blocks in the win. She nearly posted another double-double against the Purple Aces Saturday, tallying 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the win. She averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in play last week on 9-for-18 (50%) shooting from the field.
