Women's Freshman of the Week- Georgina Bell, UIC
Men's Swimmer of the Week: Luigi Maciel da Silva, Missouri State
Luigi Maciel da Silva was dialed in for Missouri State's victory over UIC in a two-day dual meet to wrap up the Bear's home slate for the season. He opened the meet last Friday by contributing to a Bears' win in the 400-yard medley relay (3:16.99). The Palmeira, Brazil native went undefeated in both breaststroke races, winning the 100-yard breaststroke (54.44) on Friday and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:00.78) on Saturday for his 11
th and 12
th individual event wins this season to lead the men's team. This is the first MVC Swimmer of the Week award for the former Division II Breaststroke national finalist and last year's Mid-American Conference 100 and 200 breast silver medalist.

Women's Swimmer of the Week: Olivia Elgin, Little Rock
Olivia Elgin has continued to elevate herself both in and out of the pool. For the second consecutive week, she has made history by breaking the 200 freestyle record while also lowering her own lifetime bests across the board.
Men's Diver of the Week: Harrison Nolan, UIC
Harrison Nolan earns his sixth MVC Men's Diver of the Week honors after a stellar showing at the two-day dual meet at Missouri State last weekend. The junior swept both events, highlighting by his first place on the three-meter board with a score of 417.90 points. Not only was that a personal-best for Nolan, but he also broke the pool record at the Hammons Student Center, previously set by Missouri alumni Carlo Lopez back in 2019. He finished the weekend with a win on the one-meter board as well, scoring 370.73 points. Nolan has now won 13 individual events over the season.
Women's Diver of the Week: Jecza Lopez, Indiana State
Jecza Lopez qualified for the NCAA Zone C Diving Qualifiers as the sophomore took on the field at the Tim Welsh Classic this weekend. She posted a score of 286.30 in the prelims to place sixth overall in the field, and then improved on her score with a 287.95 to place fifth in the championships. She followed up with a 257.45 in the 1M prelims to advance to the finals in the event. In the 1M Diving finals, she posted a six-dive score of 265.20 to place fifth in the field.
Men's Freshman of the Week: Carter Crook, Missouri State
Carter Crook earned his first career collegiate win on Friday against UIC in the 100-yard backstroke (50.25) to lead one of many Missouri State podium sweeps over the Flames. The Ballwin, Missouri native also set a 100 back personal best in the 400-yard medley relay on Friday with a relay leadoff time of 49.59 as part of a Missouri State B runner-up finish (3:19.63). Crook also rounded out a Bears' podium sweep with a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.41) on Saturday.
Women's Freshman of the Week: Georgina Bell, UIC
Georgina Bell was a consistent presence in between the lane lines at Missouri State, competing in two different individual events and four different relay teams. Bell finished in second place in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.73. She also placed fifth in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 58.90 seconds. Bell was a member of three second place relay teams in the 400 medley (3:48.76), 200 freestyle (1:36.65) and 200 medley (1:43.99) relay teams. She was also a key contributor in the fourth place 400 freestyle relay team that finished in 3:39.84.
