Ali Schrock of Illinois State headlines the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team as she has been named the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is joined on the First Team by eight additional student-athletes, announced by the league office today. A total of 23 student-athletes received recognition by earning either first-team, second-team, or honorable-mention honors.
Schrock also earned the MVC's Elite 17 Award at the MVC Championship this year (the second time she has received that honor as she also won it in 2022). She tied for first in this year's MVC Championship, falling to medalist Kate Petrova of Evansville. Schrock was named CSC Academic All-America in both 2022 and 2023, was the 2022 MVC Women’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, and was the 2022 MVC Golfer of the Year. She earned All-MVC honors in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and was named to the MVC All-Tournament Team in 2022 and 2024.
In addition to the nine first-team selections, seven student-athletes received second-team honors and seven others were honorable mention selections by virtue of receiving a minimum number of votes. A total of 35 student-athletes were nominated for women’s golf scholar-athlete honors.

Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Ali Schrock, Illinois State
The criteria for the MVC scholar-athlete team parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for its Academic All-America® program. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in the MVC championship or 50 percent of the team's tournaments in season -- with legitimate athletic credentials -- and at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (4.0 scale). Nominees in grad school must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better both as an undergrad AND in graduate school.
