PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KATIE DINNEBIER, DRAKE

Drake’s Katie Dinnebier had another sensational week for the Bulldogs. Dinnebier averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in a pair of Drake victories. She started the week with just nine points against USC Upstate, but her offensive prowess was not needed as Drake dominated the Spartans, 84-34. Dinnebier did tally a career-high six steals vs. Upstate. She took her game back to an elite level in Drake’s most recent tilt, a 92-81 win at St. Thomas. The senior guard poured in 32 points for her fifth career 30-point performance, and dished out 10 assists for her eighth-career double-double. She also snared three steals and went 4-of-9 from 3-point range. Dinnebier is now averaging 18.6 points, 7.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals on the season.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: KENDALL HOLMES, BELMONT

Belmont’s Kendall Holmes sparked a ferocious comeback attempt late in the fourth quarter at 16th-ranked Kentucky Friday evening. Holmes scored 11 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter, going a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. For the game, she went 6-for-10 from the field and 4-for-6 from distance. Holmes sparked an impressive 13-4 run with 3:08 remaining with the Bruins down by 12 by getting to the free throw line on a strong take to the basket. With 53 seconds to go, Holmes knocked down a 3-pointer to bring Belmont within a
possession, finishing with 18 points in the outing.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: CAMRYN RUNNER, EVANSVILLE

It was another double-digit week for Evansville’s Camryn Runner in the Aces final two games of non-conference play. Runner had a career-high four steals in 26 minutes of action against IU Columbus at the Ford Center to open the week. She added 11 points in the victory. The freshman guard logged her first full 40 minute game at Loyola Chicago while adding 16 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. For the week, Runner averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in 33 minutes a game.
