2021 Women's Soccer Tournament Final - Loyola 4, Evansville 0

CHICAGO, IL – The Ramblers of Loyola complete the four-peat of both the regular season and tournament championships as they took down Evansville, 4-0, in the championship match, and with the win Loyola will represent the Missouri Valley Conference in the College Cup.

The first half began as a defensive battle with neither team managing many real opportunities until Jenna Ross fired one pass Michaela Till.
 

Loyola doubled their lead about three minutes later as they found the back of the net on another converted set piece.
 
 
The next goal of the match did not come until the second half and was off a corner kick where one of the Aces scored an own goal.

Megan Demski put the final touch on the 4-0 scoreline when she hit a left-footed shot into the top corner around the 77-minute mark.

Season in Review
  • Michaela Till solidified her spot at the top of the career record book, reaching 100 saves on the season and 380 career saves, putting her 22 clear of the next Ace in program history.
  • Till also becomes just the fifth Ace to record 100 saves in a season
  • The Aces 28 points on the season are the most since UE amassed an 11-6-3 record in 2014
  • Evansville's 22 goals are the program's best mark since 2014, as well
  • The Aces opened the season with their best start in program history, running off a string of seven unbeaten matches to start the year
  • The Ramblers are the first team in MVC history to win four straight MVC regular-season titles and only the third squad with four straight tournament titles
  • Loyola is looking for its first College Cup win since joining the MVC
  • Loyola's Taylor Harrison is the fourth straight Freshman of the Year hailing from the Chicago based program
  • Megan Nemec is the first back-to-back MVC Player of the Year since Rachel Tejada of Illinois State won four-straight from 2011-14
 
The Ramblers now wait until Monday, November 8 at 3:30 p.m. CT to find out their opponent in the College Cup.  The first round of the tournament begins on Friday, November 12 with matches played at campus sites.
