ST. LOUIS - Drake, last year's regular season and tournament champion, has been tabbed as the league favorite in the annual coaches' preseason poll, receiving four of ten first-place votes and 89 points.

The Bulldogs were named the favorite over second-place Northern Iowa. UNI was picked a close second with 87 points as well as four first-place votes while Southern Illinois claimed third (one first-place vote and 82 points).
