UNI's Olimpia Nowak started off the 2011 Indoor Championship strong finishing first in the 60m Hurdles with her time of 8.68. Wichita State's Tanya Friesen came in second (8.75) and UNI's Lindsay Gierke took third (8.84). |
Heptathlon 60m
Results |
Wichita State claimed the top-four spots in the 60-meter dash. Aaron Young crossed in 6.99 with Austin Bahner right behind him in 7.04. Shocker teammate Krzysztof Slupkowski came in third (7.16). |

Results |
Sarah Gilbert of Wichita State took the women's high jump portion of the Pentathlon with a jump of 1.75m. Olimpia Nowak of Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois Malaikah Love tied for second-place (1.66m). |

For the second event in a row, Wichita State took the top-four spots in the Heptathlon. Austin Bahner came in first in the men's long jump (7.35m). Jordan Zerr and Krzysztof Slupkowski took second (6.89m) and third (6.55m), respectively. |

Krzyszstof Slupkowski of Wichita State came away with first-place in the shot put portion of the Heptathlon (14.20m) earning 741 points. Ben Lindaman of Northern Iowa took second (12.97m) and Wichita State's Aaron Young came in third (12.87m). |

Southern Illinois' Malaikah Love took the top spot in the women's pentathlon shot put with a throw of 12.38m, good for 686 points. UNI's Olimpia Nowak and Johanna Smith recorded markes of 11.21m and 10.96m, respectively, to take second and third. |

Indiana State's Robert Webb scored 822 points and cleared 2.02m to take the top spot in the men's heptathlon high jump. Ryan Sidwell of Southern Illinois took second with a jump of 1.96m (767 points) ahead of four Wichita State athletes.

Southern Illinois' Jeneva McCall posted the NCAA's 4th-best mark and repeated as MVC champion in front of an ultra-competitive field that saw five throwers surpass 20 meters. McCall (22.36m) outdistanced Indiana State's Felisha Johnson (22.30m) and teammate Gwen Berry (22.14m) for the title. |

UNI's Sam Kranz cleared 17-1 for a second-straight year at the MVC Indoor Championship and repeated as its champion, marking the seventh-consecutive season that a UNI athlete has won the event. Southern Illinois' Tim Robberstad took second, clearing 16-1.25 and Andrew LaMaster of Indiana State was third, also clearing the 16-1.25 bar. |

J.C. Lambert of Southern Illinois repeated as champion in the men's weight throw with a toss of 68-2.50, nearly eight feet clear of the competition. Jordan Williams of UNI claimed second with a throw of 60-6, and Collin Otto of Southern Illinois earned third-place points with his toss of 60-2.50. |
