ST. LOUIS – Illinois State’s Reece Clapp and Murray State’s Dylan Zentko have been named to the 2026 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Midseason Stopper of the Year Award Watch List.
Clapp ranks tied for first in the Missouri Valley Conference with seven saves across 15 appearances and has added 33 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched across 2026. He has posted a 2.70 ERA while holding opponents to just .152 at the plate.
Zentko, in 13 appearances this season, has posted a 4.30 ERA while striking out 21 batters across 23 innings pitched with just seven walks. The southpaw has recorded seven saves on the year, nearing the single-season program record of nine which was set last year by Graham Kelham. Zentko has allowed an opponent batting average of .244 throughout his 2026 campaign.
