ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its final women's basketball weekly honors on Monday. Murray State's Halli Poock has been named the MVC Player of the Week and UIC's Julia Coleman is the MVC Newcomer of the Week. Bradley's Maya Foz is the league's Freshman of the Week.

Murray State guard Halli Poock averaged 28.0 points and 6.5 assists across two Racer victories to close the week. She erupted for a career-high 38 points against UIC, including three clutch free throws with 1.5 seconds remaining to seal the win, and followed with 18 points and nine assists in a win over Valparaiso. Poock shot 53 percent from the field and 45 percent from three while adding six rebounds in the two-game stretch.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: Julia Coleman, UIC

UIC forward Julia Coleman delivered a dominant week, averaging 30.0 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 63 percent from the field in two games. She scored 32 points with three blocks against Murray State before posting 28 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Belmont for her eighth double-double of the season. Coleman also totaled four steals and three blocks across the week while continuing to lead the Flames offensively.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Maya Foz, Bradley

Bradley freshman guard Maya Foz averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists over two games while logging 61 minutes for the Braves. She opened the week with 16 points, a career-high six assists and four rebounds in a win over Evansville, then added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists against Illinois State. Foz shot 39 percent from the field and knocked down a pair of three-pointers while helping facilitate Bradley’s offense.
