The Murray State Racers saw the 2025-26 season come to an end Wednesday in an 89-75 defeat at the National Invitation Tournament to the Nevada Wolf Pack at Lawlor Event Center in Reno.
The Racers (20-13) were making their ninth all-time appearance in the NIT saw Roman Domon score 17 points, while Javon Jackson added 16, with Fred King adding 15 points and 10 points from Layne Taylor.
King grabbed 11 rebounds to make his ninth double-double of the season and he tied his career-high five blocked shots.
The Racers hit eight 3-point baskets in the first half and outrebounded the Pack 18-17, but trailed 41-39 after King made a rebound and dunk at the buzzer.
Four minutes into the second half, the Racers trailed by two points, but the Pack hit MSU with a big run of 15-5 to jump in front by 12 points with 13:15. MSU drew to 11 points on a basket by Domon with 8:25 remaining, but the Racers were unable to get any closer.
