INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) has named five Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week for games of the week ending Sunday, Jan. 25, and has included Drake senior guard Jalen Quinn.
Quinn was spectacular averaging 30.5 points per game in Drake's two victories over Murray State and Indiana State last week. He started off his week dropping a career-high 34 points against the Racers and then followed that performance with 27 points to topple Indiana State. Quinn now has 10 games this season in which he has scored 20 or more points and leads the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring at 18.5 ppg.
Other recipients of the weekly honor include Dominique Daniels (Cal Baptist), Keyshawn Hall (Auburn), JT Toppin (Texas Tech), and Keaton Wagler (Illinois).
Quinn and the Bulldogs are back on the court this Wednesday as they host Evansville at 6:30 pm CT from the Knapp Center.
