ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference announced its Runners of the Week on Monday. Bradley's Caleb Lind and Kaitlyn Sheppard have been selected for the men’s and women’s honorees.
MEN’S RUNNER: Caleb Lind, Sr. Bradley – Lake St. Louis, MO
Senior Caleb Lind won his first collegiate cross country title at the Bradley Intercollegiate, running 24:06.3 in the men’s 8k. His victory extended the Braves’ streak of individual winners at Detweiller Park to 11 straight years. Bradley also claimed the team title with 31 points, finishing 25 points ahead of Saint Louis.
WOMEN’S RUNNER: Kaitlyn Sheppard, Sr. Bradley – Cheltenham, England
Senior Kaitlyn Sheppard won her second straight race of the season at the Bradley Intercollegiate, clocking 16:11.9 in the three-mile at Detweiller Park. She finished ten seconds ahead of the runner-up, breaking her career best by over fifty seconds and posting the second-fastest program time at the meet. The Braves swept the top five for a perfect 15 points, extending their win streak at the Intercollegiate to three years.
