Jack Crull of Bradley qualifies with a fifth-place finish in Heat #2 of the Men's 1500m Quarterfinals at the NCAA West First Round in College Station, Texas. Crull becomes the first Bradley athlete to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship since Tiana LoStracco qualified for the Women's 800m championship in 2023. He is the first Bradley man to qualify since Daniel Gagne qualified for the Men's 1500 championship in 2017 and the second Bradley man to do so since 1955. Crull is the sixth Brave to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 21st century.

Crull began his third career NCAA West First Round meet with the First Round of the Men's 1500m championship on Wednesday night. Crull finished second in Heat #1 to advance to the quarterfinals on Friday night. His time ranked 13th out of the 48 competing athletes at 3:50.37. In the quarterfinals, Crull battled in Heat #2 against fierce competition. Coming to the finish, Crull lunged for the line and placed fifth at 3:47.31, nine-hundredths ahead of sixth place, to qualify for the Outdoor Championships in Eugene.

Indiana State sophomore hurdler Rachel Mehringer who broke Indiana State and Missouri Valley Conference records in both the 60m hurdles (indoor) and 100m hurdles (outdoor) during the 2024-25 season, clocked a time of 13.08 to advance. She placed 10th in the field, advancing to the NCAA Outdoor National Championships for the first time in her career as the fastest time among athletes who didn’t place in the top three of their heat. Mehringer becomes the first athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the women's 100m hurdles, and the first Indiana State women's hurdles athlete to reach the national championships.

Will Staggs cleared a Hodges Stadium record 5.43m (17-9.75) on his second attempt, finishing third overall to secure his spot in Eugene. It will be his third NCAA National Championships appearance (2023 outdoor, 2024 indoor), with his 2023 national championship appearance also coming courtesy of a strong performance at North Florida.

Murray State high jumper, DiamonAsia Taylor, advanced out of the NCAA Track & Field East Regional over the weekend to the upcoming NCAA Finals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The Missouri Valley Conference high jump champion entered the NCAA East meet ranked eighth among the 48 competitors and left in the same spot, but more than enough to advance. Taylor was successful in her first three attempts at heights of 1.69m, 1.74m and 1.79m. When the bar went to 1.82m, Taylor took her three chances but couldn't make a successful leap. The 1.82m height would've topped her personal best of 1.81m.
