Singles of the Week: Anastasiya Zholdakova, Belmont
Senior Anastasiya Zholdakova was named MVC Singles Player of the Week for the second time this season after going 2-0 during the final weekend of the regular season with two dominant straight-set wins at the top of the lineup. The Kyiv, Ukraine, native gave up only six combined games across the four sets. Last Friday, Zholdakova defeated Illinois State’s Silvia Pomarolli 6-3, 6-0 before helping lead Belmont to a 4-3 victory at Bradley Saturday with a 6-2, 6-1 dismantling of the Braves’ Anna Belogliadova. Entering the MVC Tennis Championship this weekend, Zholdakova has won three straight at the No. 1 singles spot.


Doubles Players of the Week: Jessica Popiol and Jana Ruzic, Drake
True freshmen tandem of Jessica Popiol and Jana Ruzic punctuated the 2025 regular season with a 2-0 weekend at home. The pair combined for back-to-back doubles wins at No. 1 over foes from Missouri State and Murray State.
