The Missouri Valley Conference announces the 2025 Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete Team following the completion of the 2024-25 conference season. Olivia Herron of Southern Illinois and Liam Davis of UIC highlights the team as the Scholar-Athletes of the Year. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year award was introduced across Valley sports prior to the 2019-20 season.
Scholar-Athlete honors require athletes to have competed in the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships and maintain either a 3.5 grade-point average and obtain all-conference honors, achieve a 3.7 grade-point average and top s24 finish in individual event at championships, or maintain a 3.9 grade-point average and participate in the MVC championship (including non-scorers).
The Missouri Valley Conference had an outstanding 113 student-athletes on the scholar-athlete team this season for swimming and diving. In the 2024-25 season, 26 of these scholar-athletes had a perfect 4.00 GPA. During the 2025 Swimming and Diving Championships, the league recognized Northern Iowa's Faith Larsen and Southern Illinois's Alex Cimera as the Elite 18 Award winner.
