There are several potential scenarios that could result in ties following Sunday’s games. Seeds for five league teams have been determined.
- If Indiana State and Drake end up tied at 16-4 (Indiana State loses to Murray State; Drake beats Bradley) – Indiana State and Drake split their games and the tiebreaker to determine No. 1 seed would be determined by the NCAA NET rankings of Monday morning (March 4) – and the team with the better NET is No. 1.
- If Illinois State and Murray State end up with identical records (either 9-11 or 10-10), Illinois State will be the 7 seed, and Murray State the 8 seed. Reason: Illinois State swept Murray State in the series this year.
- Missouri State and Evansville could tie at 7-13, but Missouri State is the No. 9 seed regardless. Reason: The Bears swept UE in the series this year.
- The winner of the UNI-SIU game will be 12-8. The loser will be 11-9. Belmont will finish 12-8 with a win Sunday and 11-9 with a loss on Sunday, and Belmont will be tied with either UNI or Southern Illinois, and what team that is depends on UNI-SIU game outcome. Notably, Belmont split with UNI and split with Southern Illinois, so that two-way tie involving Belmont-TBD will be broken by the NCAA NET rankings of Monday morning (March 4).
