Bracket Set for 2024 MVC Men's Soccer Championship

ST. LOUIS – Missouri State earned the top seed in the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Soccer Championship, capping off the MVC season at 7-0-1 (22 points) to claim its 12th regular-season title in program history.

With the loss to the Bears on Wednesday night, Drake earned the No. 2 seed and has an automatic bye into the semifinals. No. 3-seeded Bowling Green (4-3-1, 13 points) and No. 4-seeded Western Michigan (3-1-4, 13 points) will host Sunday’s quarterfinal rounds. Evansville (4-3-1, 13 points) earned the No. 5 seed and will travel to face the Broncos while UIC (3-5, 9 points) rounds out the tournament field with the No. 6 seed and is set to face the Falcons.

The three-way tie between Bowling Green State, Evansville, and Western Michigan was determined by the MVC’s multi-team tiebreaker. The first step involves a comparison of records within the pool of tied teams; and each team earned a 1-1-0 within the pool. Conference-only goal differential follows pool record, and Bowling Green was +3 in MVC-only goal differential and earned the No. 3 seed. Western Michigan (even) and Evansville (minus 1) finished behind Bowling Green in the goal differential tiebreaker. Western Michigan earned the No. 4 seed by virtue of its head-to-head win against Evansville.

The Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship will kick off with quarterfinal round matches on Sunday, Nov. 10, on the campuses of the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds.

All five matches of the 2024 MVC Men's Soccer Championship, including two quarterfinals on Sunday, November 10, two semifinals on Wednesday, November 13, and the championship match on Saturday, November 16, will be available for fans to follow via live streaming on The Valley on ESPN+.
