The unofficial start to the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball season took place Wednesday (Sept. 21) as coaches and student-athletes from the league's 12 institutions took part in the the 2022 MVC Men's Basketball Tipoff (#MVCTIPOFF22) at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.
This year, the MVC partnered with United Way at the Tipoff to provide student-athletes an opportunity to connect with the St. Louis community.
In addition to traditional media obligations, student-athletes and coaches took part in several content-gathering stations, and the league and its members will utilize that content on videoboards and in the league's preseason show.
The 2022-23 MVC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll will be announced in mid-October with the annual "Social Media Days" being conducted Oct. 24-29 (Belmont, Bradley, Drake, Evansville, UIC, Illinois State) and Oct. 31-Nov. 5 (Indiana State, Missouri State, Murray State, UNI, Southern Illinois, Valparaiso).
