After another competitive regular-season slate, the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship field is set as many tournament seeds came down to tonight's final matches of the regular-season. UNI (17-1 MVC) won the MVC regular-season championship for the 20^th time in program history, as the Panthers claimed the No. 1 seed for next week's championship held at the University of Evansville. 

Drake (16-2 MVC) finished second in the standings and earned the second bye to Tuesday’s semifinals in the tournament as the No. 2 seed. UIC (13-5 MVC) will be the No. 3 seed and Southern Illinois (11-7 MVC) the No. 4 seed, both earning a bye to the quarterfinals on Monday.

Host Evansville (11-7 MVC) will be the No. 5 seed, while Valparaiso (9-9 MVC) will be the No. 6 seed, Murray State (8-10 MVC) the No. 7 and Bradley (6-12 MVC) the No. 8 as all four teams will open the tournament on Sunday.

The Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship will get underway when No. 5 Evansville  takes on No. 8 Bradley in the tournament opener on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m., followed by No. 6 Valparaiso vs. No. 7 Murray State at 6 p.m. The game one winner between UE/BRAD will take on No. 4 seed Southern Illinois on Monday at 3 p.m. in the first quarterfinal, while the VU/MUR winner will face No. 3 UIC in the second quarterfinal at 6 p.m. on Monday. 

Tuesday’s schedule will feature both semifinal matches as top seed UNI will open its tournament vs. the first quarterfinal winner at 3 PM. No. 2 seed Drake will open its tournament against the winner of the second quarterfinal. The two semifinal winners will face off for the Missouri Valley Conference automatic berth into the NCAA Volleyball Championship on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 4:00 p.m.

All seven matches of the 2022 MVC Volleyball Championship will be available for fans on The Valley on ESPN (ESPN+). Greg Halbleib (play-by-play) and Kelly Burke (analyst) will call the matches live from Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
