MVC RECOGNIZES NATIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

The Missouri Valley Conference proudly celebrates National Native American Heritage Month (November each year), recognizing student-athletes, coaches and administrators who hail from Native American heritage.

National Native American Heritage Month is a national month-long celebration created to recognize, honor and celebrate Indigenous Peoples.  The Conference will share educational posts this month in an effort to pay tribute to the traditions of Native Americans.

The national office also facilitates programming and provides educational resources, and the NCAA office of inclusion will be producing a Native American Heritage Month guide - https://bit.ly/3DMKAcC.

The NCAA also produces a demographic database, which supplies demographic data, sortable by race/ethnicity/gender/sport (https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/research/ncaa-demographics-database).
